In 2012 my husband, David, and I moved to Purley from St Albans, where we’d lived for over 30 years and brought up our two children. I was a Teacher of the Deaf/Education Manager by profession and in my retirement, enjoy volunteering at Purley School as well as being a member of its fundraising team. It was love of the river that brought us to Purley; this has been one of our favourite parts of the Thames during our 40 years of boating and remains so, even after being flooded out of our home in 2012! My interests include going to the theatre, listening to music of all types, dancing and cooking. I’ve been a parish councillor since 2013, sit on the Planning, Highways and Footpaths sub-committees and am vice-chairman of the Barn sub-committee.

I was born and raised in London and moved to Thatcham in Berkshire after getting married. I have lived in Purley on Thames for some 10 years after moving in with my new partner Stuart. I have spent most of my working life as a Manager in a Business travel agency. I now work in an internet based company selling garden products which is locally based. I spend many years helping to run a boys’ football team based at AWE in Tadley, and am an ardent Tottenham Hotspurs supporter.
