West Berkshire Council’s (WBC) contractors collect waste on a two-week cycle – recycling one week and general rubbish the following week. Go to the WBC home page, (http://www.westberks.gov.uk ) type in your postcode, and your property information will include guidance on which week your property is serviced, and on which day of the week. WBC’s site also contains a full calendar of dates within the ‘Kerbside Collection’ information.
This site also gives information on what can be recycled, and what cannot. Waste collection contractors also leave printed calendars and recycling guidance on a regular basis.

How to report fly-tipping in your area
Fly tipping is the illegal dumping of any waste on to land or sites unauthorised to accept waste. Items that have been fly-tipped can include any refuse/bulky material that has been left on the highway or land without the owner’s permission. These items can pose a danger to the public and are often unsightly and therefore need to be removed quickly.
This can be done by dedicated teams, sometimes assisted by our Neighbourhood Wardens.
Please report any fly-tipping that you come across as soon as possible. This can be done online , Fly Tipping Link or by contacting WBC’s Customer services 01635 519080, or the Wardens.
